Merry Christmas

Happy holidays to our dearest friends and family!

It was a year of firsts for Millie (18 mos).  She celebrated her first birthday and took her first steps!  She also scored her first modeling gig, a national campaign for Naartjie.  Atta girl.

Sophie (4 yrs) swam like a fish in swimming lessons, danced like a ladybug in ballet, and ran like a cheetah (when she felt like it) in soccer.  She loves practicing her letters and drawing people.  Our little Sunbeam!

I cherish motherhood, and freelance on the side.  I loved coaching Sophie's soccer team, and even played in a women's rec league.  This summer, I visited family in California and accepted a writing award in New York.

Michael continues to make his girls proud, working hard and serving as scout leader.  He cycles daily before dawn (weather permitting) -- his "guy time."  He made his way to New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl and spent a football weekend in Chicago.

As a family, we visited Disneyland and packed in weekends at the cabin.  We also watched vegetables grow (or not) in our new garden.

A family theme emerged this year -- gratitude.  There were many reminders, both monumental and subtle, of just how lucky we are to have the simplest, but most important, things:  our health, our livelihoods, our home, and our faith.  Today and always, we are particularly thankful for you, the special people who positively impact our lives.  Sincerely, we thank you.

Much love.
