Punkin Huntin

Our little trio went pumpkin hunting on Saturday, an occasion I look forward to each fall.  We happened upon a gem.... a homey little patch run by a local farmer.  He basically opened up the field beside his home for families to harvest their own picks from 22 varieties.  The prices were better than the grocery store... he kinda made up a price for each customer as they showed him their goods before they departed.  Sophie's pick was only a buck!  She had fun running through the cornfield, too.  I can't tell you how extremely lucky I feel that we live in a family-friendly environment, surrounded by beautiful mountains, with little pockets of country left to discover.

Sophie found the itty-bittiest wittle pumpkin in the patch.  Farmer Mabey let her take it for free!
